Butter Prawn
600 g large prawn
1 tsp salt
1tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
t tsp sesame oil
Combine:
3 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp curry powder
Combine:
3 egg yolks
1 tbsp evaporated milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tsp butter
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tbsp chopped chili padi
1 tbsp chopped curry leaves
2 tbsp butter
Seosoning:
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
600 g large prawn

Durian oh Durian!
Akhirnya durian smpi kat Sandakan Bumi Bertuah bulan ni...tmpt tumpuan dpn Bangunan Persekutuan Batu 7. Ptg td sy & suami hanya memerhati & singgah utk sbiji honeydew & sbiji sikoi (tembikai sbnrnya) tu pun utk harga 20 rgt...suami beli bsr gila!nak kenduri ke??!hehe..Msh segar dlm memori ms sy dan dia pegi singapore Jun lepas.Blambak durian kat sana tp xbeli pun sb baik mkn kat malaysia...maklumlah, harga 2.5 kali ganda. Dan masih segar dlm ingatan kenangan kat pontian (ms tu Julai) ,longgokan durian kat dpn rumah (yg xlarat nak mkn) dek krn sy & dia mgangkut sbonet durian dari kebun. First time sy pi kutip durian & bersihkan sendri, sgt best! Kiranya sandakan ni lmbt skt dtgnya musim durian. Yg xtahan,harganya yg mahal hingga ada yg jual 12rgt/ kg. Sy bukanlah pgemar durian tp ada sejenis durian yg nak cerita ni. Popular kat sabah tp asing kat tmpt lain, terutamanya sblh peninsular malaysia. Kt pgl DURIAN MERAH!
Inilah rupanya.
Suami sy kata: Xsedap, tawar & mcm beracun...hah????tu sb dia mkn mcm mkn durian biasa. Kt xmakan durian merah ni mcm mkn durian biasa okey!. Biasanya, saiz durian ni lbh kecik dan klu jual pun, pniaga ikat 3-4 biji je..dahla kecik kan...huhu. Harga lebih kurang 10-20 rgt (so jual dia xikut kg tp ikut biji.) Mcmn nak mkn???Selalunya kt akn amik isi dia dan perap dgn perasa...tp ada yg tumis dgn minyak & perasa. Dan rasa dia??? Alahai, xtergambar sedapnya, masam,masin, manis...SEDAP! Klu mkn ngn nasi, cuit skt2 je,bukan apa, takut habis...hehe. So, sy rasa every1 should try this Durian Merah...terutamanya sang suami sb ia x beracun okey!

We're having Tweet Little Party today! My 5 years old Niece (cute little girl Zeesyahierah) sgt teruja myediakn cupcakes. Sy sediakn bhn & dia yg buat dr awal smpilah akhir (tp dgn bantuan Papa Joe a.k.a My Husband...hehe). Sy tlg tgok je sb busy preparing utk lunch. Tcuit hati dgn beberapa ayat yg budak kecik ni ckp masa nak buat cupcakes tu:
The Recipe: Vanilla Cupcakes (8 cupcakes)
250 ml (1cup) plain flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
175 ml (3/4) soft brown sugar
75 g butter, soft
1 large egg
175 ml milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1. Preheat oven to 180 oC.
2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and mix.
3. In another bowl, use a baking spatula or wooden spoon to cream the sugar and butter. Switch to a whisk to stir in the egg. Gradually add the milk and vanilla. Stir in spoonful of the flour mixture until it is all added and the batter is smooth.
4. Spoon into the liners to about 3/4 full. Bake 27 to 28 minutes, until the tops are golden and spring back when gently pressed or a toothpick stuck into the middle comes out clean.
"Mummy, masak ni keja org pompuan ye??" (Sy jwb taklah,tgok masterchef tu.)
"Baik chef garang!" (Dia kata sy garang???hehe)
"Mummy, bila cupcakes ni nak masak? X sabar nak makan?" (sambil tunggu depan oven)

p/s: Budak2 ni pun kena masuk dapur...Dlm hati sy, xkira anak sy lelaki ke pompuan, kena masuk dapur tolong Mummy...sb Mummy hanya suka MENGARAH JE...hehe.

2 hari temankn suami pergi library...sy xbusy siapkn assigment (InsyaAllah bila dah sambung master nt..hehe) tp busy searching for recipes..YES! As a wife & a mommy-to-be, of course sy kena prepare good meal for the boys. Oleh krn agak pelupa, ada baiknya sy post resepi2 tsbut kat sni...;)
p/s: I jumpa all recipes ni in English, so mls nak translate..sory..^_^
Roti Jala (Lacy Pancake)
250 g plain flour (sifted)
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
320 ml thin coconut milk

Roti jala maker
Put sifted flour in a mixing bowl. Add salt and stir in beaten egg & coconut milk. Mix well until smooth. Strain the batter to remove any lumpy bits. Lightly grease and heat a non-stick pan over low heat. Holding the roti jala maker over the pan, pour a ladleful of batter into it and move it in a circular motion to produce a lacy pattern. Cook until set. Remove from pan and fold into quarters or roll it up. Serve the roti jala with curry...Yummy!
150 g butter, soft
125 ml brown sugar
2 large egg yolks
1 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
375 ml plain flour
sprinkle of salt
flour for dusting
125 ml (1/2 cup) of favorite jam
Preheat oven to 180 oC. Grease the tin with parchment paper. In a bowl, use a baking spatula to cream the butter and sugar. Mix in the yolk, milk and vanilla.Mix in the flour. Scrape the batter into the tin. Dust your finger with flour and pat the sticky oven dough evenly over the pan bottom. Bake the chilled dough for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly. Use the back of a spoon to spread the jam evenly over the pastry. Bake another 25 minutes. Cool completely in the tin before slicing.
